The travel sketch is a personal way of fixing an image, an emotion, through a gesture which translates our perception and interpretation of a place into signs.

It is an art which encourages the “slow” enjoyment of a journey, which from the overall glance invites us to concentrate on the particular and to, then, once returned home, perhaps rethink and reinterpret the sketch turning it  into a more elaborate drawing or painting.
